The Astoria Rescue Mission has a Heart for Others.

Having received love and grace from our Lord Jesus, we share His love with others.

We love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19).

The Astoria Rescue Mission’s Purpose is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ while meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of others.

Our Goal for every person we serve to see them have the Peace of God in their lives and that they may see their purpose in God.

The Astoria Rescue Mission Believes…

We have been Fearfully and Wonderfully made – He made us and redeemed us, so we joyfully live for Him!

In God’s Truth – His Truth is unshakeable and we are to live in it and proclaim it to others.

God’s give us His Integrity – Through Him we can uphold high standards of conduct, even when no one’s watching.

In Compassionate Service to others – Grace and mercy for others are to be expressed in real and tangible ways.

  • Accountability – Ultimately to God, but also to one another, for our behavior and continual growth.
  • Discipleship – Being not only followers but also doers of the Word.
  • Unity – As Children of God we are all to live, work and fellowship in harmony as members of one body in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 5:2-9 2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, in Aramaic called Bethesda, which has five roofed colonnades. 3 In these lay a multitude of invalids—blind, lame, and paralyzed. 5 One man was there who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be healed?” 7 The sick man answered him, “Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I am going another steps down before me.” 8 Jesus said to him, “Get up, take up your bed, and walk.” 9 And at once the man was healed, and he took up his bed and walked.
